This is why I love She Wants Revenge! Because they create music that lends itself to a video as hot as this one.

Be still my beating heart… August 23, 2007

Netflix, my love, you know me so well.

rickandsteve2.jpg

Tell me, is it strange that Netflix knows me so well that when the Rick and Steve DVD release is announced, I would want to know? First off, it knew before I did (strange, I know. I usually keep up with my obsessions). And secondly, it was aware that I didn’t know yet, but would want to. And thirdly, had the decency to let me know, so I could put it on my queue. How sweet is that?

Of course, I was told that this was recommended because of my previous queue-ing of every single Queer as Folk DVD in the series, but I refuse to believe that this is simple computerized calculations at work. Therefore, it must be love.

Can it get any worse? He keeps taking his look fuglier and fuglier while still getting bigger and erm… bigger.

Just see how much better he looked a year ago!!!

It reminds me of cute Pete Doherty before drugs.

Awww cute Petey!!

A different view August 15, 2007

Chelsea and I have gone back and forth on what our blog should look like, knowing that despite the fact that it doesn’t really make a difference, it is a very important thing. At least to me, and I’m the one that counts, right? It changes how you, the loyal reader (yes, I am aware that there are only 3 of you today and loyal doesn’t describe those who read) view us, the muttering wordsmiths. It changes your mood when you click to check up on any incredibly random news that we may have posted or how seriously you take us*. So it could be rather disasterous that we are both some of the most indecisive people I know.

To make matters worse, WordPress insits on working with CSS coding instead of html, which I can at least pretend to understand as apposed to css, which just boggles my mind. You may be aware at this point that I am not overly computer savvy. Would it be too much to ask for an idiot’s guide to color, theme, and font? But even if I did have a better understanding of how to make you do what I want, Mr. Computer, I still probably couldn’t because I can’t decide on a general outlook.

So if you our devouted reader (shut up and let me have my illusions) have any opinions on our layout here at Babble Freaks Headquarters, feel free to let us know.

*As a recommendation, don’t take us too seriously, it may be detrimental to your mental well-being.*

Howdy, Partner. Wait…what? August 15, 2007

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jessica @ 12:21 pm

Sometimes I find it worrisome when a frequently visited website decides it wants to greet me when I stop by for a chat. You know, the little ‘Hello, Jessica. Not Jessica?‘ bit. Well, WordPress greets me with a “Howdy, Jessica” after I log in. I’m sorry, did I miss something? No? I didn’t think so either.

Dear WordPress,

I am not a cowboy.

Thanks,

Jess

Rockin Out at Work! August 13, 2007

Filed under: Uncategorized — Jessica @ 11:51 am

Being as bored as I usually am at work, I find a great deal of excitement when I come across bigger and better ways to pass the time. Recently after discovering how ingenious this site is (thanks Nicole), I have been filling up on past seasons of ANTM that I never watched and restarting my love affair with the smokin’ ladies of The L Word.

As terrible as it may sound, sometimes my job does actually require me to do a reasonable amount of labor. Don’t worry too much though, it’s not that difficult and I think I can cope. In those times catching some online video time tends to hinder the efficency of my performance, which is where Tun3r comes into play. For any of you out that just can’t decide what music you would like to listen to, this is that place for you. Just click and go! Perfect for an obnoxiously lazy and indecisive person, such as myself.

argentine internet rehab August 12, 2007

Filed under: Travel — Chelsea @ 8:32 pm

I’m going to be out of the country and without the internet for the next 10 days! How will I survive? The longest I’ve been without the internet is about 3 days, which now that I think about it, is really pathetic because during those 3 days I went through serious withdrawal, and once I found a computer, I had to internet binge for hours. I suppose it will be good for me, like internet rehab. So I’ll see you when I get back from rehab!!! : P

Library Censorship August 8, 2007

Filed under: Perez Hilton, world of wonder — Chelsea @ 9:20 pm

So I went to the library yesterday to try to enable myself to study for my chemistry final, with no distractions. I brought my computer of course… it’s such an educational tool you know, and I strictly use it as such. Well anyways, while I was studying, I just happened to click my bookmark for www.worldofwonder.net and this error message came up.

the-middleton-public-library.jpg

The library wouldn’t let me get my fix damn them… and there isnt even anything too defaming or pornographic on the WOW Report. So of course I was intrigued to find the places it would and would not let me go. It let me go to PerezHilton.com but not my happy James St. James message boards. HUH???

Moral of the Story:

I HATE CENSORSHIP, especially in suburban libraries

Elise, my friend’s sister, looks EXACTLY like Amy Winehouse. Well, minus the hideous teeth, beehive wig, tattoos, and saggy skin.
